The Wooden BROOKS Clutch is painted Olho de Perdiz wood with a stripes pattern of black, gray and white. It's designed by us and made by a family of artisans with a Certified UPA (Crafter Producer Unity) from Barcelos, Portugal. The father is a carpenter and this new project is from the 2 daughters and the son-in-law.

Marita Moreno's Vegan Line is 100% free from use of animals and animal cruelty. For this line we use materials like cork, malai, paper, pinatex, wood or microfiber. Due to being natural products, they may have slight changes in color tone.

Wood is the main material of the bags and clutches - they are made with wood agglomerate (remains of milled wood added with glue), covered by a sheet of natural wood (giving the beauty of natural wood but we do not use pure wood so as not to encourage cutting trees). The bags are then laser cut and tears are made on the surfaces to give flexibility to the curves; the interior is covered with cork and the handles are made of aluminum - a very light and flexible metal without nickel. The brand logo is engraved on one side.

Cork is a natural material, recyclable, sustainable and vegan, all the little pieces of cork are recycled multiple times - it is light, soft, flexible and easy to clean. We use cork from a Portuguese company, which has a natural forest and plantations of Cork Oak in Alentejo (south of Portugal).

Produced in a unique and ethical perspective way - using only Portuguese factories and handmade crafts to create its designs.

I am Marita, founder of the Marita Moreno brand, a Portuguese fashion accessories brand created with a unique, ethical and sustainable perspective.

We collaborate with Portuguese artisans who make our bags by hand and with whom we have a very close relationship. We use ecological and quality materials based on the principles of sustainability and favor a timeless design that avoids "fast-fashion" trends and too short product life cycles.

We only work with companies that follow and respect the rules imposed by the Portuguese State, in terms of job security, social security and finances.

Ethics, transparency in production and social responsibility have always been intrinsic values of the brand. From the beginning, with the creation of limited editions, the use of local raw materials, production in Portugal and the integration of traditional artisanal textiles in our products, we have been committed to being a sustainable brand with a positive environmental impact. A commitment that has been reinforced by the introduction of our vegan line.
