Inspired by the Dakhla Oasis (Morocco), located between the desert and the Atlantic Ocean. This rug mixes two traditional weaving techniques, with a flat weaving base similar to that of the Kilim and white wool knots in reference to the incredible white dune standing in the middle of the city's lagoon.

A creation that explores and brings up to date a traditional craft while highlighting the Berber tradition and its contribution to modern art deco.

Designer story

Castelli Création

Castelli Sarah, creator of Castelli Store, is a great fan of contemporary art and decoration. She is a member of the collective for the promotion of music and visual art (AsenZar), and co-founder of Nomad Art, an association of artists who experiment with art in its different forms.

In 2018, during a long trip to the country where she was born and raised, Sarah Castelli rediscovered the richness of Moroccan craftsmanship with Berber, Jewish, Arab, and other influences.

This love for craftsmanship mixed with his passion for contemporary art, gives rise to Castelli store. A collaborative project between international artisans and artists, offering artisans the opportunity to experiment with new techniques and artists the opportunity to express their art through new materials, such as carpets.
