We personally travel around the Mediterranean looking for artisans with singular skills, in order to curate and co-create unique pieces made locally with pure respect for people and the environment.
In Morocco, Italy, Greece and Portugal, we select and establish lasting relationships with talented artisans.
By combining our quest for contemporary style with their mastery of tried-and-tested techniques, we are able to offer you products made from the highest quality materials, at more reasonable prices than traditional boutiques.
Why the name fany?
Through this project, we want to highlight the unique skills of our designers partners and craftsmen in the Mediterranean. Hence the name Fany, “فنّي” in Arabic, meaning “my art, my know-how”. A nod to the founder's origins.
The founder
After a childhood in Morocco and College in the French Riviera, Chaymae left her native Mediterranean for a career as a management consultant in Paris.
At the down of her 30 years, she decided to take a break to travel around Latin America and to develop a project that brings together everything she loves: digital, craftmanship and the Mediterranean. She then launched FANY, a craft marketplace with Mediterranean roots and heart.
FANY provides one-of-a-kind pieces handcrafted by Mediterranean artisans with unique skills.
More than just an e-shop, FANY is a place that shares the conviviality and richness of Mediterranean cultures. A platform that takes you on a Mediterranean journey and evolves according to the discoveries of its founder.
